About Denise Stewart
I am a wife, mom, grandmother and a a NICU nurse. While my family and my career are my passion, Outlander has become my obsession! Talking about the series with my co-workers has become my favorite pastime, and to say we are fangirls would be an understatement. I was turned on to the story first by watching the TV show; by episode three, I started reading the first book. The descriptive writing style of author Diana Gabaldon keeps me reading for hours. For me, seeing the books come to life has only enhanced the writing and keeps me wanting even more! And with the beautiful cinematography, I would love a trip to Scotland. But for now I am included in this awesome writing team who keeps me thinking…...someday!
In Outlander Season 3 episode 2, “Surrender,” make-up artist Annie McEwan and her team outdid themselves making Cave Jamie.
I’d never been to an Outlander-inspired event. I mean, sitting at home texting your friend about the show while watching it simultaneously for the second…tenth time….um who’s counting anyway…IS social and COULD be considered an event, but an actual outing? That had never been in my cards. That changed when my local Outlander group […]
As we are thoroughly into yet another Droughtlander, I am wondering what many of you are doing to get through. Starz has yet to send any tidbits out to satiate our hunger and thirst for our most beloved series, so I resort to other means. I begin browsing the internet for anything and everything Outlander. […]
Episode 207, “Faith,” is based on just that – faith. Faith in a couple, faith in the future, faith in a new life, faith in seeing each other again. But at the heart, the very core, is the story of a mother and her child. A mother and the loss of her only baby, Faith. […]
HEY!! I found the penny whistle!!! Well, in actuality it wasn’t completely gone, but it is BACK!! And when I say the penny whistle is back, I mean we’re back!! We are back. You know what I mean. Think about those days when you get all dressed up to go to a wedding or […]
Going into episode 207 I knew just by the title it was going to be a tear jerker. But who would have thought it was going to be a total sobfest? Toni Graphia has brought everything to the table in this one epic hour of television! “Faith” can be as simple as remembering the […]
Bravo! Bravo! BRAVO!! They did it! Finally for me watching episode 203 of Outlander, “Useful Occupations and Deceptions,” actually FELT like a real episode of TV. You’re probably wondering what I am talking about. Well, up until this episode, I felt I was constantly comparing the story set before me to the book […]
As we were entering into season two of Outlander, so many articles and interviews were cataloged over how the new season would be vastly different from season one. The second season mostly takes place in Paris, and more specifically, in the presence of King Louis XV’s court. With the inclusion of the French aristocracy, the […]
While everyone is OOOHING and AHHING over the expanded television roles for so many of the minor characters in the books–Rupert, Angus, Ned–I am in awe with bit character Willie. OK, maybe, just maybe, I even have a little crush on him. Why not? He’s attractive as, Highlanders go-his clothes aren’t all disheveled and his […]
