News Editor -- In *real* life – and I mean, my non-Outlander life -- I am a lobbyist for a multi-national technology company and work with politicians and government officials every day. I love what I do. But, love might not be strong enough a word to describe how I feel about Outlander. I am seriously obsessed with the show and the books. Being part of a “fandom” is foreign to me, as I’ve never obsessed about a show or a group of actors EVER before. But, the world of Outlander took me by storm several years ago when I first saw the show and then began reading the books. I have now made 2 trips to Scotland – initially fueled by a desire to see the spectacular locations highlighted in Outlander. But, now I have fallen in love with this magical country, its complicated history and will return for a third trip in the spring. My favorite things to write about at the Blog are in depth character analysis, Bear McCreary’s amazing score and anything where real Scottish history collides with the story of Outlander. The obsession is total and complete. I don’t really understand this, but I embrace it and recognize that there are some things you just can’t explain.
