My first and foremost job title is that of mom to my two (now-grown) daughters, but I’ve also worked as an aerospace engineer on the Space Shuttle program, website developer, artist, preschool teacher, and most recently as a personal chef and blogger. My fascination with cooking and baking came through my love of science and the magic of bringing together disparate ingredients that produce something yummy. My obsession with all things Outlander began as season 1 ended and has led me on paths I could never have imagined, from proclaiming myself an “Honorary Scot” and starting a blog about baking stories and whisky reviews called “Scotch & Scones”-- at Scotchandscones.com, to getting fitter and healthier through Sam Heughan’s My Peak Challenge. Most importantly, Outlander has given this Southern-California-girl-turned-Bostonian a circle of friends who not only share my passions, but encourage the madness!
